Description of Leukocytes in Patients who are Positive for COVID-19 Infection
Abstract
In December 2019, the first mysterious pneumonia case was reported in Wuhan, Hubei Province. Based on the obtained information, the first case was associated with a fish market in Wuhan, and five cases were found with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). These cases continue to rise from December 31, 2019, to January 3, 2020, with 44 cases found. This research aims to know the description and the correlation between the levels of leukocytes and the value of the rRT-PCR COVID-19. This research uses descriptive design linear regression analysis, bivariate with a cross-sectional approach using patients' medical records. Researchers obtained 77 samples of patients who examined the rRT-PCR COVID-19 at one hospital in East Bekasi, West Java. The results of this study showed a significant correlation between the levels of leukocytes with the results of the examination of the rRT- PCR COVID-19 (P=0.01) and decreased levels of leukocytes at the beginning of the examination of the rRT-PCR (R= -2, 92).
